Children’s Hospital Radiothon
Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union (AACFCU) employees recently participated with the Wiregrass Chapter of Credit Unions in the WDJR 96.9 Radiothon to benefit Alabama Children’s Hospital in Birmingham. Employees met at Wiregrass Commons Mall inDothan,AL. to take phone donations and to encourage friends and family to contribute to a worthwhile organization.

AACFCU Sponsors Society for Human Resource Management
AACFCU recently sponsored the Society for Human Resource Management’s February luncheon in Mobile, Ala. At the Mardis Gras- themed meeting, AACFCU discussed the benefits of a company joining AACFCU’s Select Employer Groups. When a company becomes a Select Employer Group at AACFCU, Credit Union membership is a free addition to its employee benefits package. AACFCU also offers other benefits for companies and their employees, such as on-site account sign-ups, free financial education and seminars, direct deposit and payroll deduction. Destin Middle School’s “Sunshine Credit Union”
AACFCU is helping Destin Middle School students learn to save by bringing the students their very own credit union to the school’s campus. “Sunshine Credit Union— A Sunny Way to Save” gives students the opportunity to make deposits into their AACFCU savings accounts without having to go to an AACFCU location. AACFCU is also helping Destin Middle School by teaching financial education on various topics.
AACFCU held a contest to name the school credit union, and Hannah Hellerstedt submitted the winning nam. First runner up was Stephen Spivey. Second runner up was Stefani Alderfer.

AACFCU Troy Employees Goes Red for Women
Employees from AACFCU’s Troy branch show their support for the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Campaign by wearing t-shirts to help promote awareness of heart disease. Employees purchased Go Red t-shirts to help raise money for the American Heart Association.
Go Red for Women is the American Heart Association’s national movement to increase women’s awareness of their risk of heart disease, the number one killer of women.
