AACFCU Supports Cystic Fibrosis FoundationCystic Fibrosis check presentation

With the help of our members, Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union employees recently raised more than $5,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). Employees at all AACFCU branches held bake sales, gift basket drawings and other types of events to help collect donations for the CFF.

Lisa Hales, AACFCU's VP of Marketing, presented a check for the donations to CFF's Tiffany Miller at the GREAT STRIDES Walk on April 24, 2010 where teams gathered to walk and support the Foundation and its efforts.

AACFCU is an official sponsor of the 2010 GREAT STRIDES walks in Dothan and Mobile, Ala. as well as Destin, Fla.  GREAT STRIDES is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's largest national fundraising event that brings people together to raise money to support vital Cystic Fibrosis programs.

AACFCU Annual Golf Tournament for AER2010 Annual Gold Tournament

Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union held its annual golf tournament to benefit Ft. Rucker's Army Emergency Relief (AER) on April 17, 2010. Golfers from around the area enjoyed a beautiful day at Silver Wings Golf Course at Fort Rucker as they helped AACFCU support our area soldiers and their families. Through the golf tournament and other donations, AACFCU was able to donate $20,000 to Ft. Rucker's AER.

Army Emergency Relief provides financial assistance to soldiers and their families in times of need. Funds may be used for things such as groceries, bills or even medical expenses that other programs will not cover.

Money Matters Program ParticipantsMoney Matters at Dothan Boys & Girls Club

Since September 2009, AACFCU has taught financial education classes through the Money Matters program to children ages 5-13 at the Joe H. McMullan unit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Wiregrass. More than 100 children in the Dothan area learned about managing money wisely through discussions and activities on topics such as saving, investing, budgeting, paying for college, buying a car and owning your own business.  At the end of the school year, AACFCU held a graduation ceremony to recognize the children's accomplishments.
If your organization is interested in financial education opportunities, please contact our Marketing Department at (800) 448-4096.
