Our History and Mission Statement
Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union was chartered on August 18, 1966 in the midst of the Vietnam Conflict due to the need for low-cost financial services for the troops and their families stationed at Fort Rucker, Alabama. From the original seven members and an original investment of $35.00, the Credit Union, now 45 years old, has developed into a full-service financial institution with over 100,000 members worldwide and 17 branches in Southeast Alabama, the Emerald Coast of Florida and the Mobile Bay area.
AACFCU's mission is to maximize member benefits through cost-effective financial services. The Credit Union endeavors to expand while maintaining financial soundness and to promote the principles of the "Credit Union Movement" in the local, national and international communities.
