AACFCU Donates $7,500 to Local Organizations
Each year in December, Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union (AACFCU) employees donate money collected throughout the year to organizations of their choice. This year, AACFCU employees donated $7,500 to nonprofit organizations in our service areas in Southeast Alabama, Florida's Emerald Coast and the Mobile Bay Area.
On designated days, Credit Union employees are allowed to wear jeans to work in exchange for a donation to a charity fund. In December, employees nominate and choose the recipients of donations. This year's recipients include:

AACFCU Accepting Applications for Youth Council
AACFCU is now accepting applications for its newly established Youth Council. The Youth Council was established to educate Council members on the banking/credit union industry and to obtain helpful feedback on what today’s youth is looking for in financial services. Youth Council members will be required to work with AACFCU on one community service project, and in turn, AACFCU will partner with the member’s school on a community service project.
Applicants must be a junior or senior at a high school in AACFCU’s service area and must also be a member of AACFCU. If an applicant is not currently a member, he or she may join the Credit Union at any AACFCU location prior to applying for a Youth Council seat.

AACFCU Accepting Applications for 2012 Scholarship
AACFCU is now accepting applications from 2012 graduating high school seniors for its scholarship program. Ten $1,000 scholarships will be given away to 10 deserving high school seniors from the AACFCU service area. AACFCU has 17 branches in Southeast Alabama, Florida’s Emerald Coast and the Mobile Bay Area. Application deadline is March 23, 2012. Click here for complete instructions and applications.
